Celebrate Earth Day: Annual Tomato Plant Give-Away

Sunday, April 27, 9:30 am until they are gone

On the Village Green, 15280 Sunset Boulevard, Pacific Palisades

Please join us for our third annual Tomato Plant Giveaway celebrating Earth Day. We will be handing out FREE tomato plants starting at 9:30 and will end when all out plants are gone. It is a wonderful opportunity for parents to plant with their children and actually grow food that the family can eat. We plan on have heirloom Green Zebras and Sweet 100”s and maybe even a surprise tomato. All plants were donated by Bruce Schwartz of Palisades Realty.

Monthly Sunday Hikes

All Hikes start at 9 am

Temescal Gateway Park parking lot at the northwest corner of Sunset Blvd & Temescal Canyon Road.

•April 13th: The Rendezvous Hike – We will take the beautiful trail up Santa Ynez Canyon to Trippet Ranch and meet with Sierra Club groups to celebrate John Muir’s 176th birlthday, about a seven-mile round trip with moderate gain.

•May 18th: We will hike about three miles from Malibu Creek State Park to Paramount Ranch to join the festivities at the Banjo and Fiddle Contest. Admission is $20.00, $15.00 for seniors.

•AND on May 13th we will resume our popular Tuesday evening walks by hiking the trails around Will Rogers State Historic Park. As usual we will meet in the Temescal parking lot at 6:00.
